Do you ever get into the office on a Monday morning and simply don’t know where to start? The week ahead full of daunting tasks which make Friday seems like months away? If that sounds like you, don’t despair! We all feel like this from time to time and it’s not too difficult to loose motivation and the drive to push yourself and work hard. We all feel like a ‘productivity’ break every so often, despite knowing that doing so really isn’t in anyone’s best interest?
Luckily, it doesn’t have to be that way! There’s nothing wrong with feeling de-motivated from time to time but luckily, there’s a whole host of ways to combat those feelings, pick yourself up and hit the ground running! That’s not to say you’ll never feel as though the week ahead it a minefield, however by following a few simple and easy steps, you’ll certainly feel far more positive about the coming days.
In fact, in many ways, motivating yourself is doing just that; staying positive! A popular motivational quote from Zig Ziglar reads, “Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will” and in many eays, that hits the nail on the head. Negative thinking gets us nowhere but positive thinking will, without a doubt, get us somewhere.
It’s all about adopting a mindset which makes it easy to push the negatives aside and which allows a focus upon the positives and, whilst in many ways it’s the job of a manager or team leader to motivate, the real determination and drive has to come from within the individual. A manager can lead and inspire, however if the individual doesn’t have the drive, it’s wasted effort.
As such, it felt right to share this recently published infographic which looks at ’10 Ways To Motivate Yourself To Work Harder‘ which can be seen below:
