Entrepreneurial types who seek new companies to invest in should consider small cap growth mutual funds. While volatile due to the infancy of the companies that comprise the funds, they often come with high valuations and the opportunity for quick growth.

Newer companies with fewer shares are considered to be small cap if their number of shares are in the lowest 10% of the market-capitalization range. Investors who are less risk averse and have an interest in young companies could find the returns worth the risk.

To help interested investors find the top performing small cap growth mutual funds, Credio identified the funds with the top 10-year, load-adjusted returns. Looking at a fund’s performance long term is the best way to evaluate a fund.
