Halloween is long gone, and we all know what that means: The lights are going up, the sales are being revealed and contests are popping up everywhere. The holiday season is upon us!
It’s not too late to dazzle your customers with creative campaigns and promotions. Typically, retailers are the ones with the most clever campaigns and the exorbitant budgets required for celebrity photo shoots and studio-quality video campaigns. But that doesn’t stop us from being inspired by their creative ideas!
Here are 12 examples of creative campaigns that have already made an appearance in our newsfeeds this holiday season:
Promotions
1. Burberry “From London with Love”
Burberry’s “From London with Love” starring Romeo Beckham is as adorable as it is entertaining. In this 4-minute video, watch David and Victoria Beckham’s 12-year-old son dance his way into the hearts of holiday shoppers, reminding us the holidays are about love—and—that Burberry has something for everyone on your holiday gift list, with love from London.
2. USPS “Priority:You”
The United States Postal Service delights this season with three sparkling examples. First, there’s a holiday stamp teaser then helpful military mailing date information for those sending gifts to our troops. And in a short video perfect for sharing in social, the USPS “This is Our Season – Priority:You” promo gently reminds us it is ready and waiting to ship our holiday packages on time, with care and cheer.

3. REI #givestoke
The sporting goods giant and master of helpful content, REI, is asking fans to nominate someone who volunteers to protect natural places, inspires others or makes a difference in the outdoors for a chance to be recognized by the brand for their efforts—to the tune of $ 2,500 in gift cards.
4. Burlington “Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive”
Burlington Coat Factory is giving the gift of a 10 percent discount when you donate a gently worn coat for local families in need. Bonus—the offer stands through January 19, 2015.
5. Elli Blog
The Elli blog is dedicated to helping brides create a one-of-a-kind wedding experience through its design and helpful planning tips. Here it shares 25 holiday-themed printable gift tags to easily cut and embellish for your gift-giving use.
6. HGTV
HGTV delights parents with a gallery of 50 holiday crafts designed just for kids. Also, check out its 55 Crafty Handmade Gift Ideas with some kid-friendly options for crafting gifts from the heart.
7. REI
A second mention for one of our favorite brands here at Kuno! REI’s gift guide is not only visually appealling and user-friendly, it offers gifts by category AND by sport passion.
8. Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn’s gift guide features unique and luxurious gift ideas for your loved ones in a visually appealing format. As an added bonus, customers can enjoy free monogramming on many of the featured gifts in the 2014 guide.
9. GAP #DressNormal
GAP is renowned for its fun promotions and gift guides during the holidays, and this years’ do not disappoint. In addition to its “Play Your Stripes” campaign, GAP brings us its #DressNormal promotion with a series of awkward family moments in video to align with the “You don’t have to get them to give them GAP” promo.
10. Scotch “Most Gifted Wrapper”
The Scotch Most Gifted Wrapper contest lets fans show of their gift wrapping skills for a chance to win cash prizes and more of what they love—Scotch brand products. You didn’t think it was a “rap” contest did you? If so, MTV’s got you covered with its One Shot rap competition!
11. Instructables
Don’t let the 3D element scare you away from this Instructables 3D Printed Ornament Contest. You don’t need a 3D printer to participate. Instructables will print the winning designs for you, and they will even show you how to use the software for designing your ornament. The best part? All of the winning designs will be shipped to The White House for display in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History collection!
12. People to People
The People to People Ambassador Program provides educational travel for students and professionals across the globe. Its current holiday campaign encourages supporters to design Facebook cover and profile graphics inspired by what the holidays mean to them around the world. The winning submission will receive a $ 500 Student Ambassador Tuition Credit.
