Last week, we announced a new series of virtual workshops and resources for retailers: How to Increase Sales with Email Marketing.
As part of this series, we’ll be releasing new worksheets and holding virtual workshops to help you get your email marketing done in as little as 15 minutes at a time.
In this post, you’ll find the first resources to help you identify your 2016 email marketing opportunities. Download and print these worksheets now.
How can you use these worksheets?
Take a few minutes to jot down the important dates and holidays for your business to give yourself a big picture view of the year ahead.
Do you hold an annual summer sale? What about special promotions to boost business during the holiday season? Fill in those important dates now.
Here’s an example of what your worksheet might look like:
What about the months you haven’t planned out yet?
Take a look at the 2016 Holidays list. Are there any holidays on this list that would be a good fit for your business? Fill in any empty months on your 2016 Email Marketing Opportunities worksheet with some of these timely holidays.
You’ll now have an overview of opportunities to regularly communicate with your customers to bring them back to your store.
What comes next?
Now that you know your focus for each month, you’ll want to enter the dates from your worksheet on an actual calendar. Then you’ll plot a short series of emails and the dates they need to go out for each promotion.
Stop by the blog tomorrow to get your 2016 Email Marketing Planning Calendar. We’ll provide you with a 12-page calendar and some advice for how to plan and schedule your email marketing month-by-month.
There’s just one last thing.
Planning a year’s worth of email marketing doesn’t have to be a difficult task. That’s why we’re holding our first virtual workshop this week to walk you through the worksheets, provide guidance on best practices, and answer all of your questions.
Register now for the first of five, free workshops for retailers, The 15-Minute Email Marketing Plan, on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 1:00 PM EST.
(Register to receive the recording even if you can’t attend live.)
Mark this as the year you will increase sales for your retail shop with email marketing.
