I’ve always been known as a night owl doing the whole “early bird gets the worm” with my day job. It was a constant battle with night Timothy and day Timothy.
These days, you’re more likely to find me waking up at 4 in the morning instead of getting to sleep by 4 a.m. I never thought it would happen! Even more amazing to me personally is that my mornings tend to be when I am most productive. Nobody is awake to distract me! And I’m energized instead of hitting the snooze button a half a dozen times!
Gotta be honest right here…becoming a morning person isn’t easy and it didn’t happen overnight (did you catch what I did there? Hahaha) but being able to take advantage of those early morning hours can make a huge difference in setting the tone for your day.
You can use that extra hour or more to get focused, get to the gym, set your daily goals, meditate, or whatever you want to do before the avalanche of email, social media and the demands of life take over.
For me, part of my personal quiet time is spent going through my morning ritual “Hour of Power” walk. The concept came from Tony Robbins. Life changing if you haven’t heard of it.
