Klarna And Stellar To Develop eCommerce Tool That Bridges Physical, Digital Shopping
According to a recent statement, Klarna and Stellar believe there is a need to “bring the in-store experience online” by introducing “more dynamic, live experiences that enable customers to connect quickly with a brand, make buying decisions and secure a purchase.”
The tool, called “Virtual Services,” is built on Klarna’s proprietary technology and delivered by Stellar’s virtual retail teams. It invites brands to engage consumers while they browse via a chat function that allows customers to seek live advice and product insight from Stellar’s product experts directly.
The virtual solution is intended to bridge the gap between physical and digital retail experiences.
Customers can start a live video chat in multiple languages with brand-matched product experts, broadcast live from a studio space where Stellar employees will be showcasing products, helping with onboarding and answering technical queries.
Based on various use cases with cookware supplier Sage Appliances in the UK and other parts of Europe, both companies say that Virtual Services has increased online conversion rates, average order value and customer retention.
“With more competition than ever, and online shopping real estate being consumed by social media giants like TikTok and Meta, brands are looking for a viable alternative to their standard e-commerce solutions,” both companies stated in a recent release.
As part of the offering, brands will also be able to create content for their online platforms and run virtual masterclasses and mass onboarding events in their own studio space or one created by Stellar.
