TechTuesday: How To Use Social Mention

March 3, 2015

I have dedicated Tuesday’s blog to tools that will ultimately help your business grow. One tool that I do talk about in my soon to be released book, Think #Digital First is Social Mention.

Social Mention is a social media search and analysis platform that aggregates user generated content from across the universe into a single stream of information.

I have teamed up with Shaz who runs the YouTube Channel Good Person to Know which focuses on sharing knowledge and expertise from industry experts to explain in just over four minutes, how to use Social Mention. See video below:

Here are three reasons why you should be using Social Mention for your business:

1. MONITOR YOUR BUSINESS MENTIONS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

There is so much noise inside of each social network. Social Mention allows you to find out what is being said about your business on social media, and even tell you whether its a positive, negative or neutral mention.

2. PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE

A great feature that Social Mention has is that you can jump into a “negative” conversation about your business on social media, and add your own message. This will show your customers that you are providing a good customer service.

3. ANALYSE YOUR RESULTS BY EXPORTING THEM

A huge part of managing your online marketing is being able to analyse digital marketing activity. Social Mention not only gives you the data you need in a simple and easy format, you can also export it so that you, and others in your business can see your report.

I have been using this tool for a long time now and find it beneficial for analysing my online persona.

Stay tuned for next week’s #TechTuesday where I will talk about another favourite tool of mine that will help you grow your business.
