The Best Days and Times to Post on Social Media [Infographic]

— September 14, 2017

The landscape of social media is shifting faster than marketers are able to keep up with it. It seems like just (September 17, 2017) I was adding new people to my Top 8. Now, I’m finding the right pin for my Story and trying to post it when the most people will see it. Keeping up with social media trends and updates is tedious, time-consuming, confusing (sometimes), and almost impossible. Thankfully, we live in a world where information is easily available, and we’re not relegated to going to the library, search the ol’ Dewey Decimal, find the resource, read it, and then learn. You have to understand where and when to post it to make sure your engagement levels are up to snuff and your audience is interacting with your efforts.

While there is no catch-all best times and days to post to social media for, say, a specific industry, there are general best practices, like those highlighted in the graphic. Knowing when the general population is most active across different social platforms, who exactly they are, what types of content they are engaging with the most, as well as the sheer volume of people using social media outlets can help fuel strategies anywhere from the corporate to the local level for businesses.

Now the real question is, did I post this article at the right time? We’ll see.
