The Importance of Having an Online Presence is Crucial Now More Than Ever

During this pandemic, it is critical that businesses are online. Having an online presence can help you build an audience, connect with your customers, and keep them updated on your day to day activities, as well as hours of operation.

If you’re not online, how else can your customers know when you’re open or what products or services you provide? Since the stay at home order was put into place, you and your customers have been told to stay home for the protection of your health. So, if you haven’t already, then what are you waiting for? Now is the time to create your social media profile and set up your Google My Business page.

Get on Google!

Let’s start with your Google My Business page. This should be a high priority for all businesses hoping to be found online. This process is fairly simple and if you’re already an established business, chances are that you already exist in the Google My Business directory and just need to claim your listing. But if you’re a new business or have a new location, you will probably have to be added.

The process is fairly simple: Get on Google My Business, enter your business’ information (name and address), verify your business with a verification code from Google, then your listing! Our friends from Business 2 Community explain the steps in detail here.

Get Social!

Next up is your social media profile. If you haven’t created an account on one of the various platforms, then now is the time! These platforms allow your business to showcase your services and upload pictures of your products or videos of your staff. You can add an updated menu, communicate with your customers 24/7, promote daily events and highlight special offers all with a push of a button.

During these times we understand that money is tight, which is why creating and uploading content on your social media profile might be the way to go when creating your business’s online presence. It costs you nothing to create a profile on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Snapchat. Really! NOTHING!
