Problems & Solutions
Poor communication
This is one of the main problems of many departments within a company. Having proper communication between management and employees is vital and keeping them in the loop is key. Let them know what is going on with future goals, targets and any development within the company.
They like to hear that they are working towards something and that they work they are doing matters. Offering clear goals and letting them know what needs to be done is a great way to get them passionate again.
Lack Of Recognition
Everybody likes to be recognized for hard work for something they go above and beyond to do. Sending an email around the office from management congratulating an employee on reaching their sales target or taking them aside for a one to one meeting to let them know they are doing a good job is a great way to boost morale.
Nothing to strive for
There is nothing like a bit of healthy competition. Offering reward incentives alongside this is a great way to motivate. Set up a community with clear goals for anybody partaking and publish news articles naming, for example, top sellers, rewards on offer and help to stimulate conversation around it.
Creating a buzz around something ensures a positive vibe and in turn, results in happy employees.
Boredom
Give your employees assignments that appeal to them. Ask them is there something they would like to try there hand at and if you find the right project that sparks and employees interest you could be surprised by the results. This may be trying their hand at a new skill or even a project in a different department.
Discuss with your employees what interests them they could have an unexpected hidden skillset that could become a value to the company.
