Your company’s CRM is a key component of reaching success. Closing in on leads is one thing, but achieving loyal customers is really instrumental to growing your business. If you want to lock in leads while also maintaining good rapport with you current customers, time is of the essence. There are so many steps you can take to ensure you are reaching your leads and customers, and one of these steps is knowing exactly the right times to reach out to your customers.

Any Time

So, before we get into specific time, it’s true that there is never really a “bad” time to contact your potential customers. After all, the more you engage with them and try to develop your CRM, the sooner you should see results. Without of course hounding your customers so that your emails don’t end up in the spam box, think of your customers as your pets. Just because you feed them, give them water, and take them to the bathroom every once in awhile, that’s really not enough to keep them happy. You also have to give them attention and make sure they are satisfied.

In the Morning

Most working individuals head to work around the same time you do, between 8 and 9 AM. This is strangely enough one of the best times to get in contact, especially by phone. Email on the other hand should be done even earlier, as most people will check their emails right when they wake up, and perhaps take time to answer them during their commute. Of course, keep in mind that if a lot of customers of yours are driving to work, they won’t be able to promptly answer without putting themselves in danger…and we don’t want that.

In the Evening

If you can’t catch your leads or customers in the morning, then try for when they will be getting out of work. The best times are between 4 PM and 5 PM, though don’t be surprised if you catch someone who may have had a bad day at work. (Hence why calling in the morning is often your best bet!)

Late at Night

Do you ever stay up late at night scanning the web, sometimes into the wee hours of the morning? So do some of your potential customers. Times have changed, and if you send an email marketing campaign out late at night, there’s a really good chance that it will not only get read, but also explored. Some of the highest click-through rates have occurred after 8 PM. Most of this action also happens via mobile phones, as most people sit in bed and play on their phones before hitting the sack. Keep that in mind when creating an email that’s mobile friendly.

Which Day of the Week?

This is a tough one, as many studies haven’t really provided a clear answer on which day is the best day to send out your campaign. The gap in the statistics is due to the fact that even though some days get better reads than others, there’s not enough information about each specific company and when they generally send out emails to get a solid answer. Some sources say Mondays, some say Fridays, and others suggest weekends, even though most companies don’t send out emails on Saturdays and Sundays. The best advice is to test this out beforehand, testing out all the days of the week in combination with the various times mentioned before. See what is giving you the best results.

On Special Occasions

While you should have a general system for sending out emails and contacting potential customers, there’s no reason you shouldn’t send out an additional email for a special occasion. If you have a deal going on, it’s that particular customer’s birthday, or you are celebrating your first anniversary of becoming a company, let your people know.

When you need to send emails out frequently, it can be quite overwhelming to understand how your potential customers are responding to them. A program like Mission Suite can help you run marketing automation and better your CRM, so you can monitor what’s working best for both you and your customers. Request a trial now!
